About
Mistral Workflows is an orchestration layer launched in April 2026 as part of the Mistral Studio platform, designed to bring the reliability and observability of production engineering to AI-driven business processes. Developers write workflows in Python using the Mistral SDK, which handles retries, timeouts, rate limiting, tracing, and human-in-the-loop approval gates through simple decorators so application code stays focused on business logic. Under the hood it extends Temporal with AI-specific capabilities including streaming and LLM payload handling. Its architecture separates the control plane—which runs on Mistral-managed infrastructure—from execution workers that stay inside the customer's own cloud, on-premise, or hybrid environment. Early production users include ASML, ABANCA, and CMA-CGM.
