HappyHorse 1.0, developed by Alibaba's ATH AI Innovation Unit, topped the Artificial Analysis Video Arena leaderboard in April 2026 with its defining capability: joint video-audio generation in a single inference pass. Rather than adding audio as a post-processing step, HappyHorse simultaneously produces synchronized ambient sound, narration nuances, and immersive audio alongside cinematic video from a plain text prompt. Backed by Alibaba's $293M investment in parent company ShengShu, the model is available via happyhorse.app with open model weights planned and a public API coming soon.
