About
Microsoft Agent 365 is an enterprise control plane for AI agents, made generally available on 1 May 2026. As organisations deploy growing fleets of autonomous agents, Agent 365 gives IT, security, and business teams a single place to register, observe, govern, and secure those agents — treating them like managed identities with permissions, audit trails, and policy controls. It addresses the 'shadow agent' risk of ungoverned automation acting on company data, and integrates with the wider Microsoft 365, Copilot Studio, and Foundry stack. Licensing is per user (for the people who own, manage, or sponsor agents) rather than per agent, priced at $15 per user per month standalone or bundled into the Microsoft 365 E7 tier.
